2009 WuYi Star BaSanChaRen 武夷星 八三茶人 Aged Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe)

For those exploring the genuine flavors of traditional Da Hong Pao, the 2009 Wuyi Star Da Hong Pao stands as a definitive guide.

It has a subtly smoky aroma, enriched by nuances of fruit and a plummy depth. The tea's 'yanyun'—its characteristic mineral note—is balanced with a touch of bitterness and astringency, leading to an unexpected and delightful 'hui gan,' a sweet resonance that lingers on the back of the tongue and throat. Its intricate layers and robust body lead to an extensive, gratifying finish.

Ideal for enthusiasts of cliff teas and the Gongfu Cha method, this tea is a must-try.
