2006 Six Famous Tea Mountain, Organic Ban Zhang Tea Cake, Tji Pin (Raw/Sheng)
This tea cake made from sun-dried tea leaves sourced from the Ban Zhang region. It has strong tea energy, rich body, and full flavor. After nearly twenty years of natural aging, the floral notes have gradually transformed into deeper aromas of fruit, earth, aged wood, camphor, honey, and medicinal herbs. The liquor is thick, smooth, and golden in color, with balanced bitterness, a gentle yet persistent cha qi, long-lasting sweetness, and a deep lingering finish.
A classic aged raw puerh that beautifully combines the strength and character of Ban Zhang with the complexity and elegance that only long-term aging can provide.
The 2006 Organic Ban Zhang Cake is one of the representative teas from the early certified-organic series produced by Six Famous Tea Mountain Tea Co., a respected Yunnan tea producer founded in 2002 and headquartered in Kunming, Yunnan.
Ban Zhang refers both to the famous Pu-erh tea and the villages where it is grown. The Ban Zhang area includes Lao Ban Zhang, Xin Ban Zhang, and Lao Man E, all located on Bulang Mountain. Due to the region's remote location and difficult access in the past, many ancient tea gardens have remained largely untouched, helping preserve the traditional character for which Ban Zhang teas are renowned today.
