1990 Hei Cha Brick Pieces, Hunan Province

After being stored in Vancouver for over 20 years, the transformation of these tightly compressed 1990s Hunan Hei Cha tea bricks is remarkable. The tea has loosened significantly, revealing slight traces of “Golden Flowers” (Eurotium cristatum) when broken apart.

It exudes an aroma of tobacco, lotus leaf, and Chinese medicinal herbs, complemented by a hint of pine smoke and a mellow fragrance reminiscent of aged whiskey. The tea tastes smooth and refreshing, offering a rich taste with a slightly sour aftertaste that transitions into gentle sweetness with a mild bitterness, and subtle astringency at the finish. A yellow bean powder aroma lingers on the tongue, enhancing its deep, earthy character. Perfect for Hei Cha tea enthusiasts.

*** The bricks have been broken into small pieces for sale, which will accelerate aging and further develop a deeper flavor and richer taste.
